Its over, over now.

As of right now I am off to my last day of work for the next 16 days and TY is done with school! WOO WOO!
(I would never use "woo-woo" but I am so excited I have run of out of words) No more 16 hours of studying or doing lesson plans at home. WE ARE FREE in 9 hours. 9 HOURS!

To celebrate I got Ty a balloon and he sent flowers to my work. We are THRILLED. and now we are off to Arizona in the morning with the Keslers.

Ty and I are celebrating Christmas early so we dont have to haul our gifts with us...how exciting. I already have had Tyler open three because I cant stand it. We don't have a tree so they are sitting on our bench.

I am so proud of Tyler for making it through this awful semester. School is not fun and I am glad I took this semester off. He did so well in fact that they offered him a TA position for next semester. again... WOO-WOO!

Now, I am off to school for a christmas party and concert (tyler is singing today). We will post pictures tonight.

ONE LAST TIME,

WOO-WOO!

kids kids kids

My LIFE.

Ty and I have a new local hot spot that I know I have blogged about before. WE are simply obsessed and it's so much better then COLDSTONE. :)

We probably go at least three times a week.
This lady named Jackie works there, she is from far away (somewhere) and hardly speaks english. She is amazing. She moved to Utah to help out her brother who owns the Yogurt shop. He was having some trouble so she left her two kids and husband back east and now works at Luna Berry for minimum wage as a manager. She is always full of smiles and advice on how to be happy. She is ALWAYS HAPPY. We love her and thats really the reason why we go there so often. She is amazing.
(plus the part where she gives us free crepes)

We hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS! We are suppose to get another foot of snow by tomorrow night so we are just enjoying staying inside and watching the SNOW fall.

saturrrrburrrday

Most important, IT'S A BLIZZARD OUTSIDE!!!!
First, we celebrated Gracie's 8th birthday up in Park City... At COLDSTONE. Yes please. I even made out with a free t-shirt so I can fully represent.

Then, we got her ears Pierced
she refused to smile because she was so nervous but after the first hole, she didnt even know that it had happened. It was so much easier then we thought it would be.

Third, Jacob played his guitar at his christmas concert, he did great!
I started crying.

my mom was so PROUD

Later we had my staff christmas party and the theme was AMAZING RACE. We had to race all over to different members of the board, playing games or singing songs.

What A BLAST!!
not.

I woke this morning and went downstairs to vacuum. I looked under the bed and found this:

Yes, you guessed it. A shredded bag of Jerky. We went to Arizona a couple of weeks ago and picked up some road trip snacks. I knew that I had a bag of Jerky but Tyler said that he hadn't seen it. I thought I was going crazy and just dreamed that I bought the bag. Well, we now know it where it went. There was only one small piece left... DISGUSTING.

I also found this picture along the way:
He SHAVED.

a success

Thanksgiving was a success this year, a bit smaller but well worth the 10 hour drive to Arizona. We enjoyed bowling and spending time with everyone as usual. We managed a few games of scum...which apparently I am no good at this game because I only made it to worker bee once and happened to be sum or scuz like 8 times. BOOOOOOO SCUM! I also managed to dye my hair dark last night, I thank my friend Jessica, who is amazing! I also decorated for christmas with Jan's left over decorations, our house looks so Christmasy. We have a lot of events coming up in the next few weeks but as soon as its all over we are off to AZ again.

and ty has managed to grow a beard...

Also, Ty just got approved to take the Bar Exam in JULY. I am so proud of him for all of his hard work and dedication. He is such a hard worker and I appreciate him very much. We are not looking forward to the studying but we are looking forward to the trip we will take afterwards.

Happy December!

Leaves

Tyler and I raked leaves this morning and it was also Tyler's first time doing so. Lucky HIM. I was doing a great job until I saw spiders the size of my hand crawling out of the leaves so I faked a headache (allergies) and went inside. Ty did a great job and I thank him for doing this dirty job.

Tyler is the perfect husband. Most mornings we don't get to see each other so he writes me notes... LOVE NOTES.

We write them back and forth to each other and happen to have a little notepad half full.

Love him.

.........

Seriously... how amazing.

excuse the drama

So today while I was at work I was going through my blog and realized how rude my last post sounded. I really don't want any child to be sick...I promise. In fact, when all of my kids are there, the time flies by! This week has been really crazy but I am ready for Sunday. Saturday I have class, but thank goodness I do because so do two other women I know (who don't have a car). Im glad I can help them out and I know that it will be a good time. I am debating on wether or not I want to be back in school come January time. I feel like its really hard with both Tyler and I working and him in school...again. or...Maybe I am doing whatever I can to get out of it??? who knows!? I am excited for thanksgiving. I am excited to see everyone and to top it off, Nie Nie is on the news tonight. They are doing a huge special on her, she's such an inspiration!

beef jerky

Tyler and I went to Shanna and Brads last sunday for the best chicken noodle soup ever. We decided to take advantage of it and drive through Heber and take Provo Canyon. It was beautiful! It took us a little over an hour and since it took us that long we had to stop and get treats, road trip treats. Jerky, Diet Coke and string cheese. We even stopped at the local wal-mart in Park City. Life has been challenging these last few weeks with the weather. First it rains and then snows and then rains and then snows and now its back to 70 degrees. What the crap?! I wish it would just stop so I can start wearing my boots and have a reason to shop for hats. Tyler has been busy with school and work. I, for some reason have class the next few saturdays as well as monday and wednesday. I really try and love my job but its not really working out for me. Even as I am driving to work I repeat out loud, "Today is going to be a great day and my Boss will not talk to me. Today is going to be a great day and kids will magically stop talking or lots of them will be sick." I am seriously probably going to hell for wishing kids to be sick but it makes my job so much easier. I just don't understand why 21 of them are still showing up and my Boss only wants to talk to me. She thinks since I am from Washington and she is from washington, we have something in common. No. No, we don't. Give me a freaking break lady! I lived there for like 5 years. Plus, she looks like a children's book character and we just cant seem to figure out what book/movie she could possibly have starred in. Anyways, enough of that... The Trost fam is on the way over and I better get back to baking. Slash I bought pre-made cookies. Such a loser.

WHY IS IT SNOWING? NOOOOOOO!! BOOOOOOOOo!!! I WILL POST PICTURES TONIGHT.  THE FIRST THING ONE OF MY KIDS DID WAS THROW A CHUNK OF SNOW AT MY FACE. OOOOOH SHE'S JUST SO WONDERFUL. MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND DID START MY CAR THIS MORNING. THAT WAS NICE. LOTS OF NEW THINGS TO POST... BUT FIRST, WE ARE GETTING CRAZY WITH MARY POPPINS THIS WEEKEND. KEEP YOUR EYE OUT FOR PICTURES. MMMMHMMMMM.

October 11, 2009

bungahigh not low. stupid, i know.

We have lived in our new home for about three months and I am only just getting around to posting pictures. Sooorrrrry it took so long but Im glad you made it through this.

its all kind of out of order so yeah...just some random pictures. I do not know how to make a collage so here are 29 pictures.

One of our walls in the living room

Tyler painted this in one of the room downstairs for Marley and Miles:

I know, AMAAAZING RIGHT?!?

Dining room:

Just another great wall:

We just painted one of our rooms this color and now we have nothing to go in it:

I hope these pictures were ok. Like I said, not collage savvy.

October 10, 2009

something of some things.

Happy Birthday Marley and Miles!!! I feel so lucky and blessed to have these kids in my life... We had a birthday party for the kids with all of the family last sunday. It included prizes, a treasure hunt and fun games! We made them every kids favorite food(all of them): corn dogs, chicken nuggets, quesadillas, mac and cheese and then tacos. MMmMMMhMMMmm.

This last week we were able to take a trip with Jan and Richard. It was a blaaaast. We played game after game of Joker and lots of Bocce. We went for a bike ride on the beach and walked around Newport for a little while. It was so relaxing! I cant wait for next year, hopefully everyone can make it next time.

Tyler likes to test himself. By doing this I will find him doing things like this in very random places. Like kitchen counters.

I love my cat. I love her. Tyler hates her to death...seriously, once he kicked her and she flew three feet off the bed. Ok, maybe I am over exaggerating but he does hate her. I think he secretly loves her but don't tell him I said that. I know he has a soft spot for her and I bet while Im at work they play all day.

she even loves applesauce

We drove home from Arizona this time because we got a new car...which we love! and we loved the drive home. We saw some interesting things. We saw REAL LIVE cowboys and of course, Ty couldn't resist rolling down his window and shouting "HOWDY!! HOWDAYY!" The cowboy looked at us and said "Hello". Tyler told me that they were speaking our language because he went of his way to speak cowboy.  Weird.

We love cows.

P.S. We are so excited for Stacie and Geoff!! they are going to be the most fun parents I have ever known. Love you guys!
