January 2, 2010

Tis this.

So, some things that we have done in the last month fall nothing short of a great time.
We did this:

on a few occasions: new years eve with my family

We did some of this:

and saw some kids from my school:
(from utah)

We also found some of these (ice blocks):

and went down this:

Sorry Jen! I swear she wanted to do it on her own!

We also went on this:

Geoff and Tyler played some music for us:

And Rex played the piano and sang us a sweet song about robbers and bad guys:
I think it went something like
BAD GUYS!
THEY ARE SO MEAN!
BAD GUYS, TREAT YOU BAD!

ummmm yep...

We managed to get church in... twice:

Christmas eve eve:
You can tell we are so excited.

We also played lots and lots of this. well, at least when the kids weren't around:

We went on a hike. Wind Caves:

I forgot a sweater (I would) so Tyler lent me his. What a great husband. IT was FREEZING!

After 11 days in wonderful Arizona weather, we returned home to this crap:

I also went into work to find this carved into my bulletin board by some lovely hoodlums.
I love kids.

they carved C and K in with a butter knife. Where they got that knife is beyond me.

Now our life starts back up again after a much needed break. We are so excited for 2010 and all of the many joys we will have this year. My parents are leaving to Virginia in February but we are looking forward to visiting them soon. Tyler and I start a swing dancing class in two weeks, so exciting. I will be taking a class three nights a week to get back into shape and lose the post wedding weight I have so graciously put on. Our house is a never ending project that keeps us busy but we love it! We are finally getting our ceiling done in the basement and hopefully I will be painting our bedroom in the up coming weeks. I feel like I should have sent this information out in a christmas letter...how boring.

Hap Hap Happy New year.

December 18, 2009

Its over, over now.

As of right now I am off to my last day of work for the next 16 days and TY is done with school! WOO WOO!
(I would never use "woo-woo" but I am so excited I have run of out of words) No more 16 hours of studying or doing lesson plans at home. WE ARE FREE in 9 hours. 9 HOURS!

To celebrate I got Ty a balloon and he sent flowers to my work. We are THRILLED. and now we are off to Arizona in the morning with the Keslers.

Ty and I are celebrating Christmas early so we dont have to haul our gifts with us...how exciting. I already have had Tyler open three because I cant stand it. We don't have a tree so they are sitting on our bench.

I am so proud of Tyler for making it through this awful semester. School is not fun and I am glad I took this semester off. He did so well in fact that they offered him a TA position for next semester. again... WOO-WOO!

Now, I am off to school for a christmas party and concert (tyler is singing today). We will post pictures tonight.

ONE LAST TIME,

WOO-WOO!

My LIFE.

Ty and I have a new local hot spot that I know I have blogged about before. WE are simply obsessed and it's so much better then COLDSTONE. :)

We probably go at least three times a week.
This lady named Jackie works there, she is from far away (somewhere) and hardly speaks english. She is amazing. She moved to Utah to help out her brother who owns the Yogurt shop. He was having some trouble so she left her two kids and husband back east and now works at Luna Berry for minimum wage as a manager. She is always full of smiles and advice on how to be happy. She is ALWAYS HAPPY. We love her and thats really the reason why we go there so often. She is amazing.
(plus the part where she gives us free crepes)

We hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS! We are suppose to get another foot of snow by tomorrow night so we are just enjoying staying inside and watching the SNOW fall.

saturrrrburrrday

Most important, IT'S A BLIZZARD OUTSIDE!!!!
First, we celebrated Gracie's 8th birthday up in Park City... At COLDSTONE. Yes please. I even made out with a free t-shirt so I can fully represent.

Then, we got her ears Pierced
she refused to smile because she was so nervous but after the first hole, she didnt even know that it had happened. It was so much easier then we thought it would be.

Third, Jacob played his guitar at his christmas concert, he did great!
I started crying.

my mom was so PROUD

Later we had my staff christmas party and the theme was AMAZING RACE. We had to race all over to different members of the board, playing games or singing songs.

What A BLAST!!
not.

I woke this morning and went downstairs to vacuum. I looked under the bed and found this:

Yes, you guessed it. A shredded bag of Jerky. We went to Arizona a couple of weeks ago and picked up some road trip snacks. I knew that I had a bag of Jerky but Tyler said that he hadn't seen it. I thought I was going crazy and just dreamed that I bought the bag. Well, we now know it where it went. There was only one small piece left... DISGUSTING.

I also found this picture along the way:
He SHAVED.

a success

Thanksgiving was a success this year, a bit smaller but well worth the 10 hour drive to Arizona. We enjoyed bowling and spending time with everyone as usual. We managed a few games of scum...which apparently I am no good at this game because I only made it to worker bee once and happened to be sum or scuz like 8 times. BOOOOOOO SCUM! I also managed to dye my hair dark last night, I thank my friend Jessica, who is amazing! I also decorated for christmas with Jan's left over decorations, our house looks so Christmasy. We have a lot of events coming up in the next few weeks but as soon as its all over we are off to AZ again.

and ty has managed to grow a beard...

Also, Ty just got approved to take the Bar Exam in JULY. I am so proud of him for all of his hard work and dedication. He is such a hard worker and I appreciate him very much. We are not looking forward to the studying but we are looking forward to the trip we will take afterwards.

Happy December!
