Taking a trip to Lava while pouring down rain doesn't sound like it could be fun... We found a delicious chinese restaurant on the way home (recommended by Kevin Trost, who has not actually been there) and got to see Richard (dad) for the day. We got to sit in the hot springs by a bunch of beached whales and people picking at their feet. There was one couple making out in the corner and this poor little girl almost drowned because she couldn't stop watching them. SICK. Oh, and we got to see Darryl Trost who recommended a hot pizza joint (the cook was not even there and we had to wait for our food... ok, ok, a litttle dramatic, but still... the cook was not there when it opened and he said that we would maybe have to wait a little bit). The sad part of the day was when we walked into this house up the street from Darryl's. Not only the house, but everything in it was being auctioned off! and guess by who?? their own children. It was the most tacky house you could ever lay your eyes on and there were still 80 people crammed inside wanting to buy garbage. All bids started at $1.00. So, Lava was not the worst idea. In fact, I enjoyed myself more on this saturday then most. The car ride was quick and I got to spend it with the best guy in the world. This is the Cabin from River's Edge:It's really fun inside. Lava Rock surrounds a bath tub and its three stories with a huge eagle in the window. it's pretty sweet.
We spent part of our morning redoing the deck out back. We figured that staining it was way too much work. We took the easy way out and painted it.
