The first night we were there Bryan was still at work so we met up with HEIDI and went to Potbellys. The best sandwich place ever. That next morning Tyler and I drove the 2.5 hours to Virginia and met up with my family (they moved from Park City about two weeks ago). Our first stop was Monticello (Thomas Jeffersons home), beautiful. It was freezing but so worth it. The whole time we were there I had strep except for my last day. I don't know how I made it but I am still alive. It was really great seeing my family, all of it except where my brother punched me. Ugh! 10 year olds! Our second day was just as fun. We went on a segway tour that included all of DC. We didn't even have to walk, which was such a blessing because the next day we walked all over and had swollen feet. The art museums were amazing and the History museum even more amazing. We took a tour of the White House, the Capitol and then strolled down to the Library of Congress. Abraham Lincoln was all over the place. Oh and we went to the Crime and Punishment museum, the portrait museum and ate at three of the best (not including Potbellys) restaurants in DC. Georgetown was great, too. I made out with a new purse and Tyler a new hat. We have had so much fun with Heidi and Bryan and its been great to finally hang out with them one on one. We were so sad to leave but ready to get home. Brace your self for the pictures, I couldn't resist.
thank goodness Heidi let us borrow her GPS... we wouldn't have made it anywhere if it hadn't been for this little device!
